Breath Work
Nadi Shodhana
Nadi Shodhana is an excellent breathing technique to calm and center the mind, bringing it back to the present moment. It helps to harmonize the hemispheres of the brain, balancing the logical and emotional sides of the practitioner's personality. The practice of this breathing technique also purifies and balances the nadis (energy channels), and ensures a smooth flow of prana (life force) through the body.
Nadi Shodhana helps circulate breath through the nadis, the chakras, and the brain, thus, returning the body to a state of balance. Specifically, it stimulates the Ajna (third eye) and Muladhara (root) chakras. It also balances the Ida (left) and Pingala (right) nadis, thus, enhancing spiritual progress.
Life Force Energy
Explanation & Guidance
It is essential to have a surplus of life-force energy to use for healing or for our spiritual/mental/emotional wellbeing as well as to raise our consciousness. The Universe needs Prana (life-force energy) to sustain life, as it is the underlying foundation beneath all surfaces of manifestation. The sun is the major source of Prana. Prana flows into our chakras the seven major energy centers, then it flows into the meridians that are connected to the endocrine system and respectively to every organ of the body. Prana affects our whole being on all levels.
Breath Work
Bhastrika
Bhastrika is said to be ideal for moments when one feels hazy or confused, or when one seeks to gain clarity in a particular area. This is because the breathing technique is thought to purify the mind and clear energy blocks. Long-term practice may even awaken an individual’s higher powers. Bhastrika increases metabolism and improves digestion, which may help with weight loss. It's best practiced on an empty stomach, as it stimulates circulation and blood flow to all organs of the body. A milder version of bhastrika is kapalabhati, which also has cleansing and energizing properties.
Protection, Purification & Source Connection
This powerful video teaches you how to
1. Protect your energy field
2. Purify your thoughts, emotions, and energies
3. Come closer to the source of your being or consciousness itself. First, invite our soul guides, the archangels, ascended masters, avatars, gods, goddesses that you feel close to. Then, bring your attention to your midline or center, and make an intention to return all your energies from the left and from the right to the center from all spaces and all timelines. Visualize that your body is protected by an egg-shaped energy field that could be white, golden, or violet. Finally, your immediate, ever-present connection to the source is your inner sun shining within.
